Cross-posting from here, about how to get over and around obstacles:
I have found two things extraordinarily helpful when dealing with obstacles.
First, just know that there *will be* obstacles. If you anticipate them, you can plan for them and figure out how to deal with them. Make a plan. Then make a Plan B, and a Plan C. Where do I want to go? What might go wrong? How can I fix it?
Second — and this was a HUGE insight for me when I first realized it — tripping over an obstacle is normal. It is not a failure. It is not the end of your plan. It’s just another part of the plan. As I’ve been saying lately, you didn’t fall off the wagon, you just took a scenic route for a little bit.
