A new year ... resetting to zero for another 52 books in 52 weeks. I started off with the first two novels in Charlie Huston's series about Joe Pitt, the New York tough guy who happens to be a vampire - no, excuse me, Vampyre: "Already Dead" and "No Dominion". It reads noirish and hardboiled, and the dialogue sounds just like spoken, with incomplete sentences, expletives, and slang. I liked these, and plan to pick up the third in the series, "Half The Blood of Brooklyn", very soon.
