I watch shows on the Food Network regularly. One of my favorites is Alton Brown, because he is such a food geek who explains underlying science, because he is dryly funny, and because he uses lots of pop culture references. On top of all that, he serves up interesting foods.
A recent episode about milk showed him making a Tres Leches Cake, "tres leches" meaning "three milks". I saw this about two weeks ago, and I am still obsessed with it. I think I'll have to try it, it looks so outrageously rich! Here's how it goes: you bake a sheet cake, then you soak that with evaporated milk, condensed milk, and half-and-half (there's your three milks). And then, not content to leave well enough alone, you add whipped cream on top. I've joked that this is the cake of death: first the folks with the lactose intolerance keel over, and then the rest of the party succumbs to a massive sugar overdose.
How can I not serve this at the office?
mmmmm.........tres leches.......ommmmmmmm.....must try!!!!
mmmmm....whipped cream coma!
SO?????????? lets hear a BM update, please?
