Quick reading update, including more darkness:
- finished "Dick for a Day: What Would You Do If You Had One?". Made for nice, interesting reading. Didn't like all the essays, but I didn't expect to. I was astonished to find how differently the writers interpreted the offer of a dick for a day. I had assumed this meant you were turned into a man for a day, and never occurred to me to dream up any other scenarios.
- and I read a murder mystery (serial killer story, actually) set in Great Britain after World War I: Rennie Airth, "River of Darkness". Most days I steer clear of serial killer novels, because when you have read three or four, there is really not much you can expect in the way of novelty. The novelty here was the setting, and I did like the writing, although it was fairly formulaic. I may read another one from this series.
