Watchy'all doin sittin at your computers, when it's so nice out? Oh ... right ... I forgot ... you're all studying for that test. (I told you there'd be a test. Remember?) And here it is:
Here (like, you know, below) is one version of a poem. Two posts farther down is another version. Are you awake enough to tell if there is a difference? Can you tell which one is my entry for the poem competition?
At A Windows PC
Give me hunger,
O you Bloggers that sit and give
The world its blogs.
Give me hunger, pain and creative doubt;
Shut me out with Thelma and Louise
From the Diary of a Mad Monk;
Give me your shabbiest, weariest hunger.
But leave me a little love,
A voice to speak to me in the day end,
A hand to touch me in the dark room
Breaking the long loneliness.
In the dusk of day-shapes
Blurring the sunset
One little western, wandering frykitty
Thrust out from the changing shores of shadow.
Let me go to the window,
Watch there the day-shapes of dusk
And wait and know the coming
Of a little love.
You know what? That was fun. Maybe I'll do another one. If I have any brain cells left.
