You've Got Mail!

I got an email from Susan Sarandon yesterday. Really! I'm not kidding.
I'm glad to find out that I have something in common with a lady I admire greatly: She told me about her involvement with Heifer International, an organization that "combats hunger, alleviates poverty, and restores the environment by providing appropriate livestock, training, and related services to small-scale farmers worldwide." (That was a quote directly from the FAQ at their website.)

I gave some of my friends shares of a buffalo for Christmas last year, and will give Heifer gifts again this year. If you're still wondering what gifts to give and how to make Christmas more meaningful, this may just be the perfect thing.

Christmas Lights

Need some holiday cheer for your computer? Yes, I know this is silly, but it's fun too. I Found My Man

Perused a tattoo magazine in the library the other day. They had a feature about a tattoo artist named Anil Gupta.
I've been thinking about getting another tattoo for a few years now (I have a somewhat faded butterfly above my heart), and even though I still don't know exactly what the new tattoo should look like, or where on my body it should be, I am PRETTY sure I found the artist who should ink me.
What great stuff! What range! I have seen lots of tattoos, but these ... I'm, like, OhmiGawd! Takes the meaning of body art to a whole new level.

Welcome in Wonderland, where all is as it seems. Or is it?
Well, yes, this tidbit seems silly, and so it is.
I'm just playing with this tool to become familiar with it. In a few days, I'll treat you to a fine blog. Meanwhile, bear with me while I am futzing around, saying nothing with ever so many words. (Maybe I should run for office. Or should I run from it? Both sound equally reasonable.)

Anyhoo. That's all for starters. It's back to the salt mines for me.
