What a nice weekend! It started with me checking my account balance on Friday and finding that I already got my tax return. Saturday afternoon, I sat in the sun on the front step reading my Edith Wharton biography and watched the crocus and daffodils grow until my friends came over to pick lemons and oranges in my backyard. Oh, and I successfully upgraded from Tiger to Leopard on this here MacBook Pro.
Today, I splurged a little. I'd decided to buy the kittens some new furniture, and what better place to go than Purrsnickety/Bow Wowzer in Los Gatos? I ogled all the cat trees and decided on a mid-size model. "I really want the tall one," I told the sales lady, "but it won't fit in my car." "We deliver!" she said. "Are you in the San Jose area?" And so the femmes felines will receive a "Triple Tray" 5 1/2 foot tall cat tree within the next few days. Feeling all accomplished, I decided I deserved a treat too, and shopped for dinner groceries at Whole Foods and picked up two bunches of tulips (ten pale pink, and ten fuchsia pink). And with nothing left to complete but cooking dinner, it's the perfect time for this week's Unconscious Mutterings:
- Passport :: mine expires in 2010
- Small world :: after all
- Radio :: Free Europe
- Marine :: mammals
- Wall :: Pink Floyd
- Wanna be :: Viva Life on Mars I'm Calling
- Pigtails :: Christine wore them a couple of days ago, and looked really cute with them. Me, not so much.
- Hyphen :: not to be confused with an m dash or n dash
- 9.99 :: Almost a perfect ten - so close!
- Unrated :: a truly independent film
