I felt like I was going a hundred miles an hour today, and I couldn't slow down. A million things to do, and a bunch of followup that turned out great, and I raced from one thing to the next, and I ran into a couple of friends and felt like a babbling idiot who couldn't even take a deep breath and a time-out to listen and truly pay attention. Did I even say thank you properly? I'm not sure. I'll make sure I'll say thank you tomorrow. Better twice than not at all.
Maybe tomorrow will be slower. Today was just entirely too busy ... and too exciting, that was one of the reasons I kept chatting like a waterfall. Got most of my stuff done (a few bits will have to wait until tomorrow), and I got great news: I'm moving! Really, really far away ... next door.
I'd been ogling the house next door for a while now, and had told the owners I was interested, but that I needed to find a roommate first. Found one at Apple (Kelly is her name, and she has a Maine Coon cat named Bela), we met and liked each other and figured we'd get along nicely. Looked at the house together, and she loved it as much as I did, and today we got the okay from the owners.
Hooray! This weekend I am meeting with the owners to sign the lease (Kelly is out of town), and then we move in May 1st, presumably.
So I get the house I've coveted, I get a nice roommate, a cat, and I get to stay in Willow Glen, right next door to Sean and Holly.
And I had my third date with Monty today (thanks Mary!), and I've had a little too much champagne because we celebrated Andra's birthday, and I am going to go to bed now with my glow-in-the-dark iPod and listen to the CDs I got to borrow, and I won't dream about the boy if he won't dream about the girl.
